Splojit is a challenging memory game similar to Simon Says made by iPhone-Fun.co.uk.
The Game
Splojit is essentially the evolution of Simon Says, if Simon were four times as big, and didn’t follow a sequential pattern. Let me explain: in Simon Says, you are given four colours that you must hit according to the sequence you were given by Simon, with each proceeding round having the sequence add an additional hit at the end. In Splojit, you have sixteen possible places to hit for that pattern, and the sequence changes every single round. So imagine that you’re on the third round of Splojit, and you think you’ve memorized the exact path the second round has, and your fingers are poised to strike those points and throw in the third part of the sequence when the game calls you a loser and throws a totally different sequence in your face.
By now you’re probably thinking, oh I’ll just memorize the path and take my sweet time entering it back in. Splojit just laughed at you again as you realize that there is a timer at the bottom of the screen that determines your score, and you will get at most 24 points if you take your sweet sweet time. And you’ll never make it to the top of the leaderboard like that! Splojit itself cannot really be played more than 15 minutes at a time, personally, because there really isn’t much else to the game. After about round 6 or 7, you will probably fail, and you can only do that for so long.
Graphics
The graphics for Splojit aren’t very impressive, but it is just a memory game. The game uses a paint motif that works decently, but I felt the graphics weren’t really meant to be a central part of the game.
Sound
There is no soundtrack in Splojit, and you will probably get sick of hearing the honking sounds of the game pretty quickly. If you play, it might be better to just turn off the sound so you won’t have honking in your nightmares.
Additional Comments
As mentioned earlier, Splojit does have a leaderboard that displays the top 10 scores. This is great for competitive play, but at the moment it isn’t really competitive with myself having the top score.
Conclusion
Splojit is a nice little game that will give your brain an intensive workout, should you wish to ascend above Simon Says. Perfect for casual play while traveling or waiting in a line, but other than that, there really isn’t much else to it. Check it out, would be your type of game if you are into memory games.
Score
MustTap Score: Iron Tap
It's technically solid, but what comes out is pretty plain.Bottom Line
Splojit is a decent game that is simple to pick up and play, and would be considered as the next evolution of Simon Says. Not particularly fun for more than 15 minutes, might be a good workout for the brain.
